STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE
In 2014 I travelled to Iceland, a few days after arriving I was involved in an accident at Hverir, Volcanic Geothermal site, recovering a crashed drone, that left me hospitalised at Husavik Medical Centre with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to both legs, recently returned back to Husavik a small fishing village in the North of Iceland, the photograph I captured of Hverir feels really dark and foreboding exactly the kind of image I wanted to capture of this incredible hostile, yet beautiful landscape in Iceland.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Husavik Medical Centre, Iceland. It was lovely to meet the nurses again in 2018 and say thank you in person and for really looking after me during my time as a patient in Nov/Dec 2014
